Terms of use
Version 2026-10 — last updated: 9 October 2026
This English version is a translation provided for convenience. The French version (Conditions générales d'utilisation) is the reference text.
1. Purpose
These terms govern the use of the game Galaxy Slam and its online services (online matches, accounts, community maps, proximity voice chat), the "Service", published by a private individual on a non-professional basis (see the legal notice), the "publisher". Playing means accepting these terms. To create an account, you must accept them expressly (checkbox). The game is also distributed on game portals (for example CrazyGames): the portal's own terms also apply to the use of its website.
2. Access to the Service
- The Service is free. You can play against bots without an account. On galaxyslam.com, online matches require an account; on partner portals (CrazyGames), they are open without an account.
- An account is required to create, publish, rate or report community maps, to play a community map with friends and to use proximity voice chat.
- The Service is provided as is, with no guarantee of permanent availability: it may be interrupted for maintenance, updated, or closed. If accounts are closed for good, the publisher will announce it in the game with reasonable notice so that everyone can download their data.
3. Minimum age and minors
To create an account, you must be 15 or older or, if you are under 15, have the consent of a parent (or of a holder of parental authority), who also accepts these terms. Proximity voice chat, reserved for accounts, follows the same rule. Parents can ask at any time for their child's account to be deleted at contact@galaxyslam.com. We advise parents to supervise younger players, especially for voice chat with strangers.
4. Your account
- Give a valid email address that belongs to you. Keep your password secret: you are responsible for what is done with your account.
- Your nickname is public. It must not be insulting, shocking or misleading, nor impersonate another person, the game team or the moderators.
- Do not create an account to get around a suspension, nor create accounts in bulk (for example to manipulate ratings).
- You can delete your account at any time from the game's Profile tab (see the privacy policy).
5. Rules of conduct
In matches, voice chat, nicknames and maps, it is forbidden to:
- insult, harass, threaten or humiliate other players;
- say or publish hateful, discriminatory, violent or sexual remarks or content, or content that glorifies crimes or terrorism;
- publish personal information about other people (name, address, photo, number…);
- record or share other players' voices without their consent;
- cheat: modify the game or its exchanges with the server, use automated programs, deliberately exploit bugs;
- disrupt the Service (overload, attack, spam, getting around limits) or try to access other people's accounts or data;
- abuse the report button;
- publish content that does not belong to you or that infringes the rights of others (copyright, trademarks, image rights).
6. Community maps
- You remain the author of the maps you create and you keep the rights to them: you can keep using them as you wish, elsewhere too.
- By publishing a map, you grant the publisher of Galaxy Slam a free, non-exclusive, worldwide licence, for the full duration of copyright, to reproduce, perform, display, adapt, modify, translate and distribute your map (including its name, thumbnail and content) and maps derived from it, for the following uses: the game and its versions (website, game portals, apps), official maps or modes, and the promotion of the game (images, videos, trailers, social networks, press), on existing media and means of distribution.
- This licence may be transferred to a person who takes over the game, and granted to the portals and platforms that distribute the game, only for these same uses. It is granted without payment.
- Your nickname is credited as the author on your map's page and in the official maps or modes that reuse it. For short excerpts (image, video), the publisher credits it when possible. Changes respect the spirit of your map.
- The licence continues after the map, or your account, is unpublished or deleted, only for what has already been made or distributed (for example a video, an image or an official map inspired by yours). The map itself leaves the community maps as soon as you unpublish or delete it; drafts are visible only to you.
- This licence applies to maps published or republished from 9 October 2026. A map published before remains under the terms accepted at the time, as long as it is not republished.
- The publisher may at any time, without notice or compensation, refuse, hide, modify (for example correct a name) or delete a map, in particular if it breaks these rules, is reported, is invalid, or for technical reasons.
- Other players can play your map, rate it and report it, but not republish it as their own. A rating requires an account, once per map (can be changed), after playing the map for at least one minute, and never on your own maps.
- You guarantee that your map (including its name) respects these rules and the rights of others, and that you have the right to grant the licence above.
- Technical limits: 3 maps per account; unique names; a map may be refused if it is invalid or too large.
7. Ownership of the game
- Galaxy Slam (its name, logo, characters, settings, sounds, texts and code) is protected by copyright. All rights reserved.
- You may play, take screenshots, make videos and live streams of the game, including monetised ones, as long as you mention Galaxy Slam.
- It is forbidden to copy, decompile, modify or redistribute the game or its code, to reuse its characters or visuals in another game, or to host a copy of it.
8. Reports and moderation
- Any signed-in player can report a map from the game. Anyone, with or without an account, can report illegal content or behaviour by email to moderation@galaxyslam.com, stating the content concerned (map name or link, nickname) and the reason.
- A map reported by 3 different accounts is hidden automatically pending review by the moderators. Reports are reviewed by the publisher, who can restore the map, keep it hidden or delete it.
- If these rules are broken, the publisher may, in proportion to the seriousness and repetition: hide or delete content, ask for a change of nickname, suspend or ban an account (the account is then signed out and its maps are hidden). Clearly illegal content may be reported to the authorities.
- Automated checks: during online matches, the server checks players' actions (impossible values, bursts of hits or parries, movements that are too fast). Obvious cheating removes the player from the match; if repeated, it can lead to the account being suspended. Account progress (level, statistics) is also capped at what a player can really earn.
- You can ask for the reasons for a decision that concerns you and appeal it by writing to moderation@galaxyslam.com: it will be reviewed again.
9. Liability
- Each player is responsible for what they publish and for their behaviour.
- For maps and nicknames, the publisher acts as a host: it does not check them before publication, but acts quickly to remove clearly illegal content as soon as it becomes aware of it.
- The publisher does its best to ensure the security and proper running of the Service, but cannot guarantee the absence of bugs, interruptions or data loss (remember to download your data if you want to keep a copy of your maps).
- Nothing in these terms limits the rights that the law grants to consumers.
10. Personal data
The processing of your data is described in the privacy policy.
11. Changes to these terms
These terms may change (new features, legal obligations). In the event of a significant change, you will be informed in the game and, if necessary, asked to accept them again. If you do not accept them, you can delete your account.
12. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by French law. In case of disagreement, first write to contact@galaxyslam.com to find an amicable solution. Failing that, the dispute will be brought before the competent courts under the ordinary rules; if you are a consumer, you can also go to the courts of the place where you live.
